Virgin HD box not working

I have a Virgin HD box (not +) that is not working. My partner was watching something on it last week, and it stopped working (the screen went black, and the heart beat started flashing)

Now when we turn it on, it gets stuck at AP:52.

This has happened before (not while watching it though) because we did not turn it on enough.

I have tried phoning 150, but after about 20 minutes of hold music it rings, and the phone lady says "the other person has cleared". This has happened twice now.

 

Can anyone help?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your VHD box.

 

If the box is getting stuck at AP52 then we'll need to send a technician to take a look at it. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange an appointment for you.

Thanks for your reply, but it's all sorted now.

I managed to get through on the phone, and I had a technician out this morning. He swapped out the old box, as it wasn't locking on.

But then the new box was having trouble getting a hit. After half an hour it started working. (Apparently the vhd boxes are having issues at the moment)

That's great news! Glad to hear the technician sorted it out.
