V+ HD Box not giving option to record

Hi,

I have a Samsung V+ HD Box which used to record programs fine. However I have tried to record and access V+ and am faced with an error screen. Any ideas how I can sort it? I have turned it off at the mains but this hasn't worked?

What does the error screen say?

It's possible you may have a dead box which will need a visit to replace.

More than likely the error will be 2001 (loss of V+ services). This is usually the result of either:

A) A problem with the account, or data on the viewing card.

B) A problem with the hard disk.

Customer services should troubleshoot by:

1) Try sending codes to the viewing card.

2) Attempt a reformat of the hard drive.

If both of the above fail to fix replace the box.

Everything excluding 1 above will result in loss of any recordings on the unit.
