Everyhing has just stopped, the channels won't load, Catch Up and On Demand is unavailable, the apps have disappeared and I can't even view my recordings

Re: TV won't load channels

/dons psychic hat

I'm sensing a black box, yes, a TiVo, with a flashing green light on the front of it on the left side?

  1. Reboot the box
  2. Ring it in - 150 [VM phone] / 0345 454 1111 [non-VM phone]
  3. You can watch your recordings as long as you just highlight them in the My Shows list and just press the Play button on the remote.

There's no flashing green light and I can't even get to the recordings.

Re: TV won't load channels

I have the flashing green light on the box now. It says "error preparing channels" on the screen.

Re: TV won't load channels

It will do - it can't talk to VM's servers.

Have you rung it in yet?

Re: TV won't load channels

It's taking absolutely ages to boot up and when it does there's nothing.

I've used the diagnostic on the website and it found an issue but it didn't say what it was.

I am with all the other posts you need to use a phone to get certain problems resolved. I can't understand people's reluctance to do so.

Completely agree - This is primarily a user community forum and while the VM Forum Team do endeavour to read and, where appropriate, respond to every thread, it can take them from a few days to a couple of weeks to wade through the volume of posts.

For ALL technical issues, ringing in or using the online chat is the fastest way to get a response, especially when it seems to be a case of lost service or something broken.

If you have a general question about the service, how things should work, etc... then the forum is the ideal place to get help from your fellow customers.
