Been away on holiday and came home to find that my V box in my bedroom only has the standard tv channels on it ie BBC,ITV etc. When you click on any other channel is says I'm not currently subscribed or there maybe a fault. My TiVo downstairs is working absolutely fine so it doesn't look like it's an issue with my account. I've tried to switch it off to reset it numerous times butit hasn't helped. When I've checked the status through faults it's says of should be done in 10 mins, restart the equipment but again this hasn't rectified anything.
What can I do?? I'm paying for a service I'm not receiving!!
Did you leave the box powered & in standby while you were away, or did you turn the power off?
Usually people with this issue have done the latter.
Virgin boxes are designed to be powered 24/7. If you turn the box off for more than a week you risk the viewing card becoming de-activated, as it is no longer able to receive updates from Virgins servers. If this is the case, a simple call to customer services should sort this, or you can wait a few days & the Forum Team here will respond.
