4k resolution/refresh rate and subsampling

Hi,

I would like to have more information about Tivo TV and the 4k content broadcasted, could you help to provide the following information or point me in the right direction:

  1. Tivo 4K resolution/refresh rate and sub sampling (ex 4K UHD@50hz 4:2:2)

--> what are the resolution /refresh rate and sub sampling available on the Tivo Box

  1. What is the bandwidth required to view 4k content?
  2. Since 4K (4:4:4 @60hz)needs 18Gb of bandwidth what kind of compression method is used to broadcast the video?

--> What is the resolution /refresh rate and sub sampling of the raw content?

 Cheers,

Re: 4k resolution/refresh rate and subsampling

Unknown about the former, but the latter will be whatever Netflix or YouTube use to cram 2160p into roughly 25Mbps.

As there is no broadcast 4K content on VM, try Sky or BT.

TV: XL+SkySports V6
BB: 200Mbps SuperHub: Arris
Loc: ME10
