Interesting article, particularly the bit about protecting the elderly, although from my observations of Ofcom's performance they are about as much use as the proverbial chocolate teapot. I doubt much will change but I'd like to be proved wrong.
The last line of the article is very significant.
"Ofcom does not have competition concerns about the market for bundling services such as broadband, pay-TV and landline rental together."
This means for the vast majority nothing will change. OFCOM is only concerned with elderly customers using standalone landline telephone only accounts.
