Our phone has gone dead today. It is a vital link, for hospital appointments among other things. An engineer cannot be found to vist until 12th.
I have done all the checks suggested on the VM site, but there is nothing obviously wrong and nothing was altered prior to the failure.
I have tried to run the phone test, but that hangs at 99% complete and makes no report.
What do I do now?
Interesting - our phone now works.
The engineer appointment has also been cancelled, although there has been no direct contact from anyone.
Should anyone here have had a hand in this, many thanks and much relief.

It sounds as though there may have been a total loss of service fault in your area which has since been resolved
Keep an eye on things and if you notice you're having an issue with the line again, let us know right away.
