Hi Bill601,

As you live in Spain I assume that your Virgin SIM is Pay As You Go.
When was the last time you made a chargeable outgoing call or text?

Re: lost signal? i

Hi Bill601,

since there has been recent activity on your account, that dismisses my first thought that perhaps your SIM might have been deactivated.

As you've tried the usual things, rebooting your phone, manual search for a network?

My next suggestion would be to see if there might be a local area fault. If you were in the UK this could be done using EE's Network Status Checker.

Obviously though your phone is using Virgin's Spanish partner network who may well have a similar thing.

Are you able to ask anyone nearby if they are having reception problems?

Re: lost signal? i

Hi bill601,

Welcome to the Community. I am so sorry to hear about your problems using your SIM whilst in Spain. I would love to get this sorted for you if you're still having the problem you reported.

I am going to want to check over your account for you to start with just to make sure there are no noticeable faults. Keep an eye on the purple envelope in the top right hand side as I am going to send you a private message asking you for some account details.

You mentioned you had tried alternative networks already but can I just ask if you have been able to try all of our partner networks in Spain that we have agreements with?

Vodafone Spain

Amena/Orange

Telefonica Movistar/Movistar

I look forward to hearing from you soon

Thanks

Mike
