faulty sim card ?

My service has been working perfectly since Day 1.  Today my screen said "Insert Sim Card"

 

I took out the sim card, cleaned it and put it back but there is no change and no service.

 

Do I need a replacement sim card ?

Possibly.

Ring 789 from a Virgin Phone or 0345 6000 789 from any other. 

They should sort it out for you.
