WATER DAMAGED IPHONE

I have a new iPhone on contract with Virgin Media which is only a few weeks old. It's water damaged and can't be repaired, the screen is completely dead so I imagine the insides are fried. I do have Virgin Media protect insurance and it does state that it covers liquid damage but I'm not so sure, I know what insurance companies are like with water damaged phones. As the phone can't be repaired does anyone know my options or costs associated with this as I don't believe my insurance will help at all.

Re: WATER DAMAGED IPHONE

Have you actually tried contacting the insurer?

If it turns out that you're not insured, you have no option but to replace the phone. Water damage is not covered by your warranty or statutory rights.
