I'd like to upgrade my SIM to 4G but I'm unable to as I didn't buy my phone through Virgin so the "Your device" area is blank when I log in to my account. I can't see where to add/change my device. Any ideas?
as @teabag pointed out in an earlier post, I can see this being a problem for many customers.
Your option is to give them a call free on 789 (I expect they'll be pretty busy though).

My phone is my own so I am also sim only so also blank device like yourself and upgraded to 4G easily in my account..
There was a RED 4G Tarrifs banner option to do so in my main account, opens up to a larger choice of tariffs all in red, just click on the one you want and upgrade on next page.
