I have switched from PAYG to pay monthly keeping the same number.
I have my new phone (Kazam Tornado 348) and new SIM.
But it will not connect to a network and says "emergency calls only".
I have tried to manually connect but it just keeps saying ""Can't connect to this network at the moment. Please try later."
Any ideas what I need to do?

it sounds like your new SIM isn't activated yet.
Has your old SIM already disconnected from the network?
Did you need to send the text READY to 789678 from your old phone & SIM in order to do this.
If so you should receive a text back saying the request has been successful.
Your old SIM will deactivate and some time after your new SIM will become active.
(Periodically turn your new phone off and on to check for network).
Occasionally activation may take upto 24 hours.

That sounds like what has happened. The old SIM is still working so not disconnected yet.
So do I just send that text saying "ready" and then virgin will do the rest?
