Im having issues receiving calls and texts on my samsung A5 2017. The calls sometimes go straight to voicemail without ringing and the voicemail doesn't show for a while after. Texts dont get through until ages after they've been sent. Other times texts and calls come through with no problem. This is a new virgin sim as i needed a micro one for this phone and i activated it as shown in the guide they sent
Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a problem with your replacement SIM card.
If the calls are not going through to your handset and are being diverted to voicemail and texts are taking some time to register, there could be signal issues in your area. Did you experience any of these issues with your old handset/SIM?
Are you getting this problem all the time or only when at home or in certain areas? If you are only getting the network issue in a certain area, enter the postcode into the Virgin Mobile Coverage Checker to see how good the signal is supposed to be in your area. Also try the EE service checker to see if there are any known network issues.
We also recommend testing your SIM card in a different handset. If the SIM works fine in another handset, then the problem could be with your mobile.
