Call forwarding abroad

Hello, I forgot to set my mobile to call forwarding before I came on holiday. How do I do it as I have been trying but its not letting me do it? I know how to find the settings for it but when I type the number to forward to it does not offer me a continue tab or finish tab?

I need to divert to a work colleague!

Any help much appreciated.

Re: Call forwarding abroad

Hi Lee2504,

unfortunately Virgin Mobile does not support call forwarding.
(Other than to the voicemail service).

Can you change the voicemail message from abroad?

Hi Lee2504,

I would think so, I don't see any reason why not although I've never tried.

Obviously there will be roaming charges accessing your voicemail.

Re: Call forwarding abroad

Hi Lee2504,

because I didn't know for certain, I've now done a little research and unfortunately it seems that things aren't going to be so simple unless you've already set a PIN Smiley Sad

When calling your voicemail from abroad the system treats you as if you were ringing from a different phone to your mobile. So for security reasons you are prompted for a PIN which needs to have been set up beforehand.

See here: While you're away and Setting up a voicemail PIN number

Re: Call forwarding abroad

Alex it's changed with the new voicemail, despite the help link giving select 2. Now you need to select 3 then 3 again. Smiley Happy

Re: Call forwarding abroad

Hey Lee2504,

Welcome into the Community and thank you for your post, it's great to see you're already being helped and are part of the Community Smiley Happy

I was wondering whilst abroad were you able to change your voicemail settings? Whilst there shouldn't be any problems, I would like to mention we are here to help.

Also thank you to all in this thread who pitched in too, great stuff Smiley Happy

All the best.

Ben
