4G SIM card

Just received 4G SIM card. Followed instructions and activated. Lost all contacts as on old SIM card. Obvious after the event but not mentioned in any Virgin instructions or texts. Now told I cannot recover the contacts. Pretty disgusted that this can happen with no ability to recover. Do I have any way of recovering contacts.

Re: 4G SIM card

Hi angrita,

is this because you had your contacts stored on your "old" SIM rather than "phone memory"?

If so, simply reinstall your old SIM back into your phone (it won't connect to network but don't worry about that) your contacts will still be stored on it.

Go into your phonebook settings > memory, and select "copy to phone memory".
(The exact procedure varies from device to device but it will be something like this).

Then pop your new 4G SIM back in ( make sure that you have phone memory selected) and you're good to go Smiley Happy

Re: 4G SIM card

You are a star. Thank you. The Virgin helpline was completely useless but your advice worked first time.
