Wireless TiVo?

Just a quick question, can the TiVo box be connected to Internet for Netflix etc wirelessly or does it have to be via Ethernet cable?

Re: Wireless TiVo?

The TiVo box has it's own modem in it so will use the coax cable it's connected to for Netflix, iPlayer and other apps.

The Ethernet connection on TiVo is needed for TiVo box to box streaming, and if you want to use the TV Anywhere app as an advanced remote control for TiVo.

Re: Wireless TiVo?

It might be quick but it is an odd question. TiVO boxes have their own dedicated 10MB internet connexion and stream Netflix direct to the box. If you have an account with Netfix no other connection is needed. Just locate the Netflix channel and away you go once you have logged in via the remote control key pad.

Re: Wireless TiVo?

Tivo doesn't have wi-fi built in and is connected usually via co-ax from a splitter.

Re: Wireless TiVo?

So how do I get it to work?
I've clicked on Netflix channel and pressed red but it's saying that the device may not be connected to the Internet.
The Internet is fine on everything else.

Thanks for the replies Smiley Happy

Re: Wireless TiVo?

how are you accessing Netflix? that doesn't sound like a TiVO app (as opposed to the Netflix channel) way of running up Netflix.

on TiVO press Home > Apps & Games > All Apps navigate to Netflix and hit OK

Re: Wireless TiVo?

There is a Netflix placeholder channel on 204 that has a 'press red' option on TiVo to immediately launch the app
