Watching recordings between 2 TiVo boxes

I have 2 TiVo boxes (main in lounge and 2nd on bedroom) they are connected by Ethernet powerlines to 2nd and 1st has a direct connection to superhub3.

I can see the shows recorded on my bedroom box on my lounge box (folder appears at end of my shows) but I can not see a folder for my lounge box recordings on my bedroom box.

Clearly they are connected to my Superhub 3 router as one of the boxes can see the other. Both have a local IP address on my superhub.

Any help or advice on getting my second box to see shows on my main box?

Re: Watching recordings between 2 TiVo boxes

I have a feeling that this is only available with the new boxes, think they are called v6. Sorry If you have these, doesn't say in the original post

Re: Watching recordings between 2 TiVo boxes

This works between older TiVo to older TiVo, Older TiVo to V6 and V6 to V6

If both older boxes are Ethernet connected to same hub/router, on each box do
Home --> Help & Settings --> Settings --> Network --> Change Network Settings --> Get automatically from a DHCP server (typical)

This will tell the router to assign a new IP Address to your boxes and you should see each other box at the bottom of My Shows.

Do it on both boxes to be sure.

I use it here all the time. Works a treat.

Re: Watching recordings between 2 TiVo boxes

You need to have both boxes on the same home network so you should be
Hub --> Powerline --> Powerline --> TiVo A
Hub --> Ethernet --> TiVo B

If the one going by powerline isn't getting an IP
Address you may need to set the powerline up again - plug a laptop or something in to check if that's working too!
