You can turn off the TiVo box sound effects but I suppose the problem could originate from your television.

Re: TV beeps between every advert and programme change

Hi janjamie,

Welcome to the forums Smiley Happy

I'll be happy to help figure out what this sound is.  Does this sound appear any time you press a button on the remote control?  If it is, then as zilch mentioned this can be turned off.  To do this just follow these steps:

HOME > HELP & SETTINGS > SETTINGS > AUDIO > SOUND EFFECTS VOLUME.

If it's not relating to button commands via the remote control, let me know and I can help further.

I look forward to hearing from you Smiley Happy

Re: TV beeps between every advert and programme change

Hi janjamie

Sorry to learn about the problems you're experiencing at the moment, do you have a surround sound system or any third party audio equipment connected?

Could you also talk me through how you've got the TiVo set up? Lastly, do you have any other devices you use on the TV?

Look forward to hearing from you

Craig

Re: TV beeps between every advert and programme change

I get the same thing. At the end of every advert and before the main programme starts again there is a high pitched beep. Our box is new and has only been in a few weeks. It is on factory setting and has no additional equipment connected.  Not really obtrusive. But once you hear it and know it's there it is annoying.

There is no use of the handset involved here.

Any ideas?

Re: TV beeps between every advert and programme change

Hi RickD1

Welcome to the Community, I'm sorry to learn about the trouble with your new TV service.

Thanks in advance for letting me know that you're on factory settings and you've not got any audio equipment set up. I'd like to request that our back office team take a closer look at the set top box from our end for you.

So I can take a closer look, would you be able to respond to the private message I've sent with the requested information? You can view the message by clicking the purple envelope on the top right of the page.

Look forward to hearing from you

Craig
