3008 error on tivo

I have this message about installing a new smart card error 3008. We have not received a new one. I have called twice tonight and been through various things over the phone.
An engineer has been booked for Thursday morning but I can't help but think this is something that can be simply fixed remotely.
Any help would be great as we have that message floating around the screen and we can't get rid of it.

The box just did a software update and briefly showed a 7400 error.

All seems to be working now.

Thank you for taking the time out to reach us here again and I'm very sorry that you had experienced that 3008 error.

 

I'm really glad that you've been able to get an update on the TiVo and things are looking much better now. Just as a precaution I have run a few tests on it and she's responding well Smiley Happy
