Re: I cannot watch sky sports on my laptop

Hi pirate1949,

Thanks for your post and apologies for the issues you are currently having using Sky Sports on your laptop.

Currently we're not able to support Windows 10 so we can only run through some basic diagnostics.

As far as i'm aware, using Firefox with Windows 10 should work but you may need to re register your device.

Go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Sky Movies & Sky Sports
Delete your device and then clear your history, including cache and cookies.

Close your browser so we can start from scratch Smiley Happy

Load up Firefox, go to www.skysports.com
Select a channel to watch and you'll be prompted to register your device. Follow the prompts here to register the device via Firefox.

Does this make any difference?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: I cannot watch sky sports on my laptop

Hi Kath_F, my problem is that if I go to tv anywhere I have my tablet & laptop registered and both work OK, but on skysports & Movies only my tablet is registered, I have a spare device spot but it will not let me register my laptop.

Re: I cannot watch sky sports on my laptop

Hi pirate1949,

Thanks for coming back and sticking with me on this.

With TV Anywhere and Sky platforms, as they are different, they register in different ways.

TV Anywhere, you have to manually register the device however to register the device for use with the Sky websites, you just have to start streaming. The platform will then automatically register the laptop.

If this error message is coming up then it's stopping the registration.

Make sure your Cookies are set to always, The Copyright protection is not enabled and it may help to remove and re install Silverlight.

If none of these work, it's possible your sounds and/or graphic drivers need to be updated.

Keep me in the loop on how it all goes for you.

Thanks,

Kath_F
