Upgraded to 200mb getting only 40???

this is mad for what i pay, i upgraded to the 200 mb connection but i only get around 40?? i have tried everything and have even had an engineer out, when he comes he says i am getting 200 then when he leaves is back down again?? this is complete madness..

i have the old modem which might be the reason how do i go about getting the new modem..

Does anyone else know what BT offer and their speeds? thanks

Are you testing wired or wirelessly?

both wired is little faster maybe 60 .. but i am paying for the vivid 200mb thing

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing slow speeds, I know this is disappointing.

 

I've taken a look at your connection and at first look, I don't see anything obvious to blame for this.

 

Do you notice if the speed fluctuates at certain times of the day / night?

hi not really is always slower than i pay for, and there are only 3 things using it and not all at same time, wired is faster that wireless but both are no where near what i am supposed to be getting and what i am paying for.. we have had the stuff for years so maybe we need to get the updated equipment that you give to new customers who have not paid anything to you over old customers that have paid 1000's? how would i go about getting the new equipment, router and tivo box?? thanks

What wired speeds do you get? 80-90Mbs out of interest?



The superhubs VM sends out is all perfectly capable of doing the same speeds.

Same issue here in L12. Had to contact the Chief Executives office to try and get some answers.

What I've been told is there is an area issue in Liverpool that won't be resolved till Feb at the latest. This date has been put back on 3 occasions that I'm aware of so could be put back further again.

They send their engineers out in the morning when everyone is at work or in school so you get faster speeds when they are there. Then in the evening when people log on then it all drops again.

Currently I'm getting as low as 5mb and paying for 200mb. Awful service, wish I had never left Sky.

The CEO office only gets it passed to someone who gives you a scripted reply (same as phone staff) as you've been given a fix date which they cannot give. Treat it as a review date only else you will dissapointed.
