How do we get Virgin to actually give us what they charge us for?

Despite being on their VIVID 200 Optical Fibre and XL TV package, paying around 150 a month, Ive NEVER had more than 60 mb download, my house phones never worked and I have had to put up with people whose accent is so strong I could only just understand they were sending my wife an email to explain how to run updates to fix an issue that releasing the IP would have sorted (awesome catch 22 there.....)

Ive spoken to multiple people over the years about these problems, but as Im not a new customer they really don't give a monkeys

How do other people get Virgin to supply what they promise?

Well I phoned to inquire about the ongoing fault as the fix/review date had past yet again, the young gentlemen on the other end gave me two options

1. Accept the credits for a bad service.

2. Go for a total disconnection of services.

They genuinely have no idea if or when it will ever get put right..

You don't you leave and find a different provider.

Only way to make a company learn is hit their profits.

@GordonPryra

How are you testing? wired or wirelessly?

If you are never over 60Mbs despite time of day that would indicate something else is up.

Good luck. At least with sky etc you get minimum guaranteed speeds that you can leave if it dips under.

So my optimal internet hours are between 2AM-5AM, 6AM-10AM anything outside that range is non functional.

Getting consistently shafted by highly fluctuated ping during "peek" all daylight hours.

@Hydrops your connection is just plain broken. That isnt a peak time issue (although a peak issue seems like it may be in there too), but a completely broken connection.

Wouldnt happen to be on a superhub1 would you?

And have you made your own thread to get help?

Thinking of switching providers myself. Getting tired of all BS! Time to give BT a go. They may not be the fastest but may be a tad more reliable... Who knows?
