Here I am again! Packet loss every evening for the past 2 weeks

So in my last thread a few months back I was having troubles with packet loss... supposedly F004136000 was to upgrade my area and after having 2 engineers out to replace the completely broken TiVo box and check the power levels things have been OK for a while...

Now the past 2 weeks I am getting packet loss at the same times every evening ... things only ever seem to get better for a few months every time an engineer comes out.. can I schedule one in for a monthly tune up?

On another note, they keep adding/removing the resistor thing on the back on the modem, blaming it on the previous engineers "uncalibrated" equipment...

Really sorry to hear about the connection fault experienced.

 

I've had a look into this for you and I'm unable to detect any obvious cause for concern either via the equipment levels or network segment at the moment.

 

How has the performance been for you since posting?

It's still the same. It's not going to fix itself in a day or two when this has been going on for almost a year now. It's obvious it's an oversaturation issue. I was quoted F004136000 last year to be fixed by Jan, but now apparently it's not getting fixed until MAY. What a joke! Why give fix dates if you permanently push them back? Why offer everyone 200mbit when your network obviously can't cope with it? Why offer a referral bonus and let more people in the area buy your "service" when you can't cope with what you've already got?

Don't worry about telling me that "everything looks fine" again. I have all the proof I need and am lodging an official complaint in writing and will be taking this to CISAS to get my money back for the past year I've had 10mbit every evening when paying for 200

I'd like to test your connection in real time, thereby hopefully finding evidence of the packet loss you're experiencing.

I'm about to go home but next week I'll be in work until 10pm, so if you don't mind waiting until Monday I'll happily investigate further.

Sorry Steveyh19,

Really sorry as I've hit a glitch. My real time tool for some reason is not accessing your CMTS. I shall have to get that raised and fixed before commencing the tests I want to run. Other system checks aren't showing any issues after 5pm.

Apologies for making you wait a little longer.
