Excruciating slow internet speeds

Why are my internet speeds so slow?

I thought it was my laptop, but my father-in-law had much faster speeds on his mobile on EE.

I have tested speeds both wireless and wired and wired is worse!

Wireless - Download speed 1mb - 1.58mb / Upload speed 1.48 - 3.57

Wired - download speed 0.72 - 0.94 / Upload speed 3.17 - 3.18

Funny as just received an email confirming my speeds have been upgraded to 50mb, really?

80% of customers have a same problem!!

And what the **** Virgin do?

Nothing they just promise to be fix  but thats all.

Have every day a same problem ..

Im paying for Vivid 200 .

My speed is right now 3.5 Mbs..**bleep**?

I think only the best option is to file a collective action and destroy them!!!!!!!

Mine is exactly the same!!!

Absolute rubbish! Why are we paying for their top service when we seem to get the worst.

My download speed is 2Mbps and upload is 7.6Mbps 

Quite a lot of difference from the 152 -200 that they advertise and we pay for!!! Disgusting service!

Best option like i said to put file a collective action and put them to the court!..otherwise nothing going to change!!!!
I cant even watch stupid movie on 365 px ..Still buffering :-///

Moved across to Virgin last week on the basis that it offered fastest download in the area and great facilities for protecting against undesirable websites/traffic etc as partner runs a child minding business so Safeguarding essential. Turned on the filtering and download speeds went through the floor dropping from 50Mbps (as advertised to this).

Download 1.66Mbps

Upload 0.18Mbps

 

#woeful I had better speeds in the 90's.

Is this a joke? Just a temporary problem, or simply the overhead the filtering service is placing on my router? If either of the latter two then I demand that something is done about it immediately. The kit just ain't up to it!!!

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention TV on Demand not working too and when I spoke with support there was no projected fix date.

Can anyone offer confirmation that this is general or advice on how to improve things. If not then I'm not getting the advertised product and will be off!

It just gets better.

 

Download has just reached a staggering 0.55 mbps

Upload 0.08mbps

 

YES. You are reading those numbers correctly.

 

If it gets any slower I'll be able to walk to the main comms centre and deliver my next update by hand more quickly than it will post online!!!

Its general problem.
Virgin is simply awefull company and lying customers!
And why?
Simply because want stealing money from as.
And one thinks..
The will definitelly put the fix date but be ready the fix day will be changing many times like everone hapends!
