Disputes

I've tried several times to get a response from Virgin including over the phone but no one will give me a straight answer.
For the 18 months I've been paying for Virgins fastest and most expensive broadband (200mps). I've since asked Virgin to cancel my subscription for several reasons, broadband rubbish, TV box rubbish and way too expensive. During the cancellation process, the guy on the phone told me that the reason my broadband is rubbish is because the router I was supplied wasn't capable of handling 200mps. Have I therefore been miss sold broadband by Virgin? Should they now refund me the cost of my broadband?

Re: Disputes

I think you would need the Superhub 2 as a minimum to support a 200MB and above package?

If you have this already and still experience crappy broadbands and have also explored various avenues for fixes, it's likely retention are trying to keep you with VM? i.e. are lying.

It took a year and five months for me to get my speeds back from over utilisation!

Re: Disputes

So why did the guy from Virgin tell me it wasn't any good for the speed I was paying for? And why couldn't I get anywhere near the speed I should have?
I undestand that the speeds vary and could except a 20 meg drop, but to drop 50, 70 or 100 meg is a joke considering what I'm paying.
