Wouldn't hold your breath, my parents are getting the tv package along with the 200mb installed this wed so I will know if it's the package or the area or both that's the issue as it's where I used to live but had the exact same issues with the internet until I moved a month ago not far from where they live and the exact same issue persists

Apologies for the issues you are experiencing with the broadband connection. I can imagine this is frustrating to say the least.
I've checked the network on all accounts, they are showing in good health with no faults reported and the traffic is running low. Kicks and bobajob84 are on the same network, whereas A-TNR is on a different cable. With the tracerts, even though one hop is showing high the preceding hops are fine and it has completed.
The next step would be further diagnostics whilst the Hub's are in modem mode please?
My hub is alway's in modem mode and the results are the same even with my computer being the only thing connected, the engineer that came out said it's nothing on my side, theres a problem with the network that's causing it, the last few engineers have said that.
Everytime forum staff and phone staff check my router they say they can see errors with the SNR but everytime an engineer comes out they say theres no problems with it.
The last 3 engineers have checked it and done nothing, this wednesday another engineer will come out, do nothing, tell me its the network and i'm back to were i started

I'm having similar problems, although not anywhere near as slow as others. I "upgraded" to a 200mb line with a new contract, however, since the beginning of the contract, I have not had over 100mb the entire time since I have received the new hub (beginning of March). I also had to return the hub due to it constantly knocking off every 30 secs on any ethernet connections.
Are there any others having similar issues with the new hub? Also, anyone getting the advertised speeds they are paying for?

I'm on the jordanstown road and 3 weeks ago things were good now i struggle to watch a youtube video.
Another pointless engineer visit for wednesday which wont fix anything and no one but the engineers will say there's a network problem. Sadly it seem's my time is up with virgin, BT are offering 62-80mbit which is terrible compared to the 200mbit package but when i'm getting 4-5mbit i might see it as an upgrade.
One thing that is weird is i opened 2 speedtest's at the same time and both hit 4.26mbit and 4.92mbit surely at the same time it would be around 2? so it seem's i can reach faster speeds but i'm limited to 4-6 from a single source, Torrents seem to get up to 8mbit
also in monktown and since my own thread has been ignored i'll jump in here. the customers know there is a problem at the glengormley hub because the engineers are confirming this when they get called out. seems like a lot of people in the area are suffering slow speeds including my father and friend, also in monkstown. So how can VM say there is no problem? How many complaints do you need to make before it is even acknowledged?
I've been investigation this issue further, checking all the issues on the network, and there is a fault ticket open for slow speeds which our engineers are currently looking into, with a reference number of F005206356.
If you can post back here within the next few days, I will check this for further updates.
