I'm noticing really poor network speeds particularly in the evenings which can drop to around 1 or 2mbps at times, and is nowhere near the reported peak averages reported by Virgin. I don't have problems during the day where i reach near the 50mbps i'm contracted to receive. Just wondering if this is what i should be expecting? I've attached some speedtest results for you. These are taken using wifi as the ethernet port on my laptop is sadly broken.
Yes this is exactly what is expected with VM in Area 21. Full speed during the day drop to max 3Mbps during peak hours. There's nothing to 'fix'. Your modem/router/Wifi is working perfectly it's just there are more subscriber in the area that VM can handle.
The fault reference has existed since late 2015 so that shows the capability of VM to increase the bandwidth, which is 0.
Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with your connection.
I've run a diagnostic on your account and I can see an issue with your Downstream Power levels that'll need to be adjusted by a technician. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange an appointment.
Look forward to hearing from you!
