Virgin Media Hub 3.0

Replaced existing hub with new Hub 3.0. Wifi works fine but not possible to link to computer.  Using existing cables so nothing wrong with cables.

Re: Virgin Media Hub 3.0

Thanks for your interest.  Using windows 10.  Windows diagnostic failed to provide solution.  No help from Virgin either - engineer failed to turn up to appointment; three call-centre operatives made various promises, none fulfilled.  A truly hopeless response from Virgin!  As a result, I consulted an IT specialist, at my expense.  He solved the issue by turning the Hub onto modem mode.

Re: Virgin Media Hub 3.0

Hey Shofmeyr,

Thanks for getting in touch Smiley Happy

Really sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with the connection to your Windows 10 PC. You shouldn't have to put your Hub into Modem Mode to resolve this. There's many thing we could try before that conclusion. Firstly, have you ensured all your Windows updates are done? We also might need to look at updating or rolling back your internet drivers. If all other devices are working in your home we know the connection is present. Please get back in to touch with so we can continue to help.

Apologies again for this,

Take care.

Re: Virgin Media Hub 3.0

What's an "internet driver"?

I'd bet that now you have it working in modem mode, if you went back to router mode it would work as well - perhaps provided that you reboot your PC before trying it.
