Losing internet connection

We keep losing internet connection despite getting a wifi extender. It's happening several times a day and it's driving my daughter mad !! We have super hub and only have Xbox and iPhones I couldn't even connect my kindle last night. Have made several phone calls and absolutely no help. It's getting to the point that I will cancel virgin

Re: Losing internet connection

hiya @Michelle2202 welcome to the virignmedia community forum, it it only wireless devices losing connectivity or both wired and wireless?, also what extender did you buy?
to help improve wifi on the hub could take a look at -> https://help.virginmedia.com/system/templates/selfservice/vm/help/customer/locale/en-GB/portal/20030...

Re: Losing internet connection

Also by Wifi extender do you mean a wifi repeater.

Wifi repeaters are pretty good at messing up wifi however a powerline adapter with wifi should work ok.

As asked before in order to determine if its a Wifi or internet issue, is it just wifi thats disconnecting, or are you loosing connection to wired devices too

Re: Losing internet connection

Hi. It is a power line adapter ...netgear. It seems to be internet problem as wired is affected too. I have the router in a good place and everything connects but we just keep losing connection randomly. It affects my daughter more when she has her Xbox on.

Re: Losing internet connection

hiya @Michelle2202 would best to check on the hub if you could goto http://192.168.0.1 clicking router status top right [no need to login] and if could copy/paste the downstream, upstream, network log this might show the cause, also don't worry about the formatting we can easily read it.
