Vivid 200 Ethernet issues.

I have recently been having an issue with my vivid 200 service in which my connection to the router is cut for about 1-3 seconds every minute or so, I have spoken to some friends who also are with virgin and they too are having this exact issue. This is causing a lot of problems while playing online games.

Any help is appreciated

It will take around a week for a member of virgin staff to get to this.

In the meantime could you navigate to 192.168.0.1, don't login but go to the hub stats and post them here, hiding you wan ip if it appears.

It may also help to setup a BQM http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping although you'll have to disable the hubs firewall to get it to work properly. However it will show if you're having regular disconnects from the wan side as well as if you're suffering packet loss etc.

Odd, apart from a few lost packets, that shouldn't really effect anything your BQM looks fine.

You're log looks fine ok too..

what are your levels like?

Also I assume when you say ethernet you are connected via a wired ethernet connection.

My speed is fine, everything is fine bar the weird disconnects. I do mean wired connection.

Welcome to our forum, really sorry about the connection dropping, we have an area problem that may have accounted for it F005131436, currently we believe we have fixed it and are monitoring things, is it any better for you please?
