Should I be paying a charge for Vivid 200 and a SH3?

Hi there

 

We are due to get our speed upgrade from Vivid 152 to Vivid 200 this month.
We still have the old SH1, as Virgin never supplied us with a new SH, or said that we need one. I have been told on here we will need a newer SH to fully appreciate the Vivid 200. I have just done a webchat with a Virgin worker, and been told we have to pay an activation charge for the Vivid 200, and another charge for a SH3.

Does this seem right? As far as I was aware, the speed upgrade was free? And I thought that the SH provided wouldn't have been at the cost to ourselves?

Any help is appreciated

If you 'order' the upgrade through My VirginMedia, the upgrade will be free and the process will identify if you need a new hub and send you one, for the price of postage and packing.

I am logged into My VirginMedia, and I can't see anywhere to 'order' the upgrade at all :\

..then the free upgrade isn't available yet in your area.
