upgrading

I logged into my virgin mobile account and it says I am eligible for an upgrade now although my current contract doesn't end until February 2017. would I need to pay off the existing contract or pay two contracts at once if I upgrade now?

Yes or yes, depending on what you choose. Virgin policy is a early upgrade within 28 days, so you'd need to resolve the existing contract in some manner, if you want the same phone number you have no choice but buy it out or a new contract being a second one would always have a new number, a replacement contract on an existing number can have the same phone number but it's important you tell them that
