I spent 1 hour chatting to 2 different customer reps and both times I got cut off when it came to contracts when I asked why my contract was altered which came in force 04/10/2016 but now gone up by another £13 a month.

Usually when a contract price goes up by this amount, it's because you've either made changes or a loyalty discount has ended and thus dropped off the account.
You can speak to the team to see if there is anything they can do. Call them on 150 / 0345 454 1111 and they can help.
