COD Advanced Warfare Disconnecting

Check through the step by step guide on how to solve the issue

but can only see that my ping is possibly causing the issue, hitting

170 approx according to the Xbox One but when checked through

Virgin ping test to the Xbox IP it's showing an average of 6.7

Game disconnects constantly in play.

Any ideas how to solve the issue?

Think Modem mode is a bit extreme meaning no wireless or other devices

can be connected as I'm able to play all other online game without issue and

no need for modem mode.

Re: COD Advanced Warfare Disconnecting

Fixed myself,
Latency is still poor hitting 170 but changing my wifi setting so the wireless is 54mb for compatibility and not 300mb for performance has stopped the disconnects.

Surprisingly the speed drop has not been an issue, possibly as I'm using a static IP and port forwarding.

Re: COD Advanced Warfare Disconnecting

One last thing, playing wirelessly as I have a closed NAT type when wired

also I sometimes play in different rooms.

When wired I struggle to get a game due to NAT type.

Re: COD Advanced Warfare Disconnecting

Hi Hawkpaul,

I would always recommend gaming wired as this is the most stable connection. If wired isn't an option you should try 54mbps mode as you've done for compatibility. Just for future reference, don't use the Xboxs speed or ping tests. Very often this will run to US servers which will give you 100ms+ ping.
