Please can someone help me. At 77 years old I am finding this so complicated. I tried my usual way to open VM emails and found this new two-way security thing asking for a third party email address to open my emails. After struggling all day with Google I have managed to create a new gmail address. I have linked it with VM and verified the new link several times. I have several NTL email addresses that I use on my iPhone. Suddenly every time I go into read emails a box pops up twice asking for a password. I left Virgin Media probably over 10 years ago, and have no account with them. I have an nlworld.com email address that is still working - in fact this forum' registration didn't recognise my mail.com address so I used the old ntlworld.com address to verify my profile! I have no control over this ntlworld.com account any more as I haven't been a diamond media / ntl / virgin customer for years, but it keeps receiving emails (all junk now) and I can send emails from it too. I too am having the same issues as a lot of others. it has been two and half weeks now and still no satisfactory answer, - i have been phoning up constantly almost every day I have an ntlworld email address, i was asked to set up a 3rd party email address on 14th July, which i did and verified it, and i was able to login via this email and ntlworld address initially for approx 2 hours, then since then i have not been able to. I keep getting asked to login and then it goes around in a continual loop and a white screen, i am not prompted to ask for a password , just stuck in a loop I have verified my account soo many times, yet keep getting asked to confirm via a link sent to my ntlworld account, yet i cannot gain access to this, just keep going round and round in a continous loop I have two x Incident numbers, one a priority, - and also a complaint number I keep getting passed from pillar to post via VM helpdesk, i dont think they have a clue what the issue is, they keep saying that they will phone back, yet no one does - apalling behaviour I use my ntlworld email for everything, tickets, shopping, transport , this is becoming extremely frustrating for me, I have concert tickets i need to access as a matter of urgency, I have tried all the suggestions i have seen online but nothing has worked for me as of yet, please please please can someone help me170Views1like6Commentsunable to access secondary email ac
On 28th July 25, I reported that my secondary email ac was not accessible causing huge difficulties (work email for my wife). Also other priority issues it took me literally hours to get Virgin to accept the problem - I was shunted from operator to operator, from country to country. I finally got through to someone who accepted that this problem was affecting all customers. He gave me a service request number and promised to rectify within 3-5 days. He would not put it in writing. So I filed a complaint and was told that they would respond within 28 days ! When I rang after the promised time to get an update, again I was shunted from operator to operator to operator. They tried to get me to try remedies that I knew do not work. Finally I spoke to an operator who understood my service reference, he promised to write and confirm that problem will be fixed within 3 to 5 days but he never did. Disgraceful. First priority is resolution. Then we need to work together to file a substantial claim for all the consequences and loss. I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for several years. Suddenly the app was unable to receive (nor send) emails addressed to my principal email address (*@ntlworld.com) - my other email addresses (also *@ntlworld.com) have been unaffected. The following message always appears:- "Login to server pop3.ntlworld.com with username *****@ntlworld.com failed." I have tried all passwords, including that for the non-virgin email address which I have to use to sign-in to Virgin Media. Also, have tried changing 'virginmedia.com' to 'ntlworld.com' in Server Settings and Account Settings (SMTP setting). I am at a loss, having searched this forum and the internet for a solution since 1 July 2025. Hi, I am trying to resolve an issue for my brother/sister-in-law. They have NTL world email address and both have accounts to log into virgin media and retrieve these via web browser absolutely fine (I set-up and tested for them) and they used to be able to access via Outlook. However, this has now stopped working and I have tested their outlook by adding my ntlworld email which worked fine. I have tried to set-up from both my home W11 PC and my MacMini all to no avail! I finally managed to log in to my VM account. On my phone I went through verifying via my Gmail but just ended up with a blank page. This morning I tried on my desktop and amazingly it all worked. Verified using my Gmail and then created a passkey to log into my VM account. However I still can't retrieve my ntlworld emails using the Gmail app. It says user or password incorrect. Is it because I have now set up a passkey instead of a password to access my ntlworld emails via the VM account or should the password still exist and be valid? My ntlworld e-mail is working. For at least a week now my wife's ntlworld.e-mail account hasn't worked. Despite 2 very long phone calls to Virgin help nothing has changed. She can log in to the Virgin Media site no problem but when she choses e-mail the message is : FOBIDDEN. Could somone please sort out Virgin's e-mail problems? She needs this account for Hospital / Surgery mails urgently and the help line so far have not proved successful in getting her e-mail account back up and running.
