NTLWORD PASSWORD

Dear VM Team

I am unable to log into my very old ntlworld account and cannot remember the password.  As with others it suddenly asked for my password.  I have a new media broadband account, however this is not linked to the old email address as I use a gmail account for this so cannot create a new password.  I have no access to the ntlworld account - are you able to reset this for me please and am I able to divert and possibly delete the account so this doesn't happen again? Many thanks.

So your old ntl mailbox was tied to an account that you closed/left VM?  You then came back at some point and are now using a GMail account?  Is that correct as I read your post?

If so, mailboxes are supposed to be deleted after 90 days of leaving.  Sometimes it can be more than 90 days.  There is a possibility that old ntl mailbox has been deleted.

  • Hi Piphelprequired

    Welcome to the Community Forums.
Sorry to hear of your concerns with an older NTLworld email that you're unable to access.

If the email is not linked to an active broadband account, and was an email you had with an older account, then this email should have been deleted within 90 days of the account's disconnection. Sometimes customers are able to still use them long after 90 days have passed, as if the email address is in constant use, it can be missed. We do go through and do a clean-up every so often, and, as such, any email address no longer associated with an active account is deleted and removed.
If it is the case that this NTLword email was linked to a closed account, then this may now have been deleted. Please let us know if it's different and what occurred, and we can look to assist further in any ways we can.
