Ntlworld email down
I am unable to sign into my ntlworld email. When I go to mail.virginmedia.com, it says “We'll be back soon You may be having some issues accessing your email service at the moment. Please don't reset your password. We are sorry about this. Our engineers are looking at fixing this as soon as possible.” It has been like this for a week now, the email is also not working on my already signed in devices. PLEASE CAN ONE OF THE FORUM TEAM HELP ME? I had to leave Virgin Media in May 2024 after being a loyal customer for many years. I moved to an area without Virgin (sob) so had to suffer the pain of changing my email address (sob, sob, sob....). I had been with Virgin so long that my email address was an NTL address! When I closed the account I was assured that my email would stop working after 90 days, however, here we are, some 600 days later and it still works! Because I have a chronic age-related memory problem, I need to read guidance on a number of really basic questions about setting up email accounts on my broadband service. Where do I find this guidance? For starters: is there now such a thing as an email account with Virgin Media? If there is, is it provided and managed by Google as a gmail account? Is such an account a POP3 (I think that is the correct designation) account such that I could access it with the Thunderbird email client on my PC? If so, where do I find VM details that I would need to enter into Thunderbird? I used to have Thunderbird setup this way a few years ago before I switched to another broadband provider. How could I find out if any of those previous email addresses/accounts (virginmedia.com and ntlworld.com) still exist? Hey there, I am the primary account holder for my account. I created a subaccount many years ago for my son and he's used it ever since. Both accounts are ntlworld.com We noticed since the 20th October he's not been receiving rerouted emails to his gmail. To rectify this, we attempted to login on the website using the sub account. The last password we had does not work and the secret questions do not work, despite us knowing they're correct. We've tried to call a couple times but gotten nowhere, can someone here help us? We just need the password on the sub account resetting so he can log in again. The main account is linked, the sub account isn't. I cancelled my Virgin Media account in November 2020. My email accounts, which are all @ntlworld accounts should have been deleted after 90 days but they are all still active and 1 has been hacked and is sending out spam messages from what appears to be my account. Hi, I needed to change my password for my ntlworld email. To do this I was prompted to change my sign in email so I changed this to another email address. Hello, I went to check my e mail this morning as I do every morning and for some reason I was logged out of my account, it's always logged in and has never randomly logged out before. I went to sign back in but the passwords I tried didn't work so I clicked on 'forgotten password', I put in my email (which is an @ntlworld.com e mail), date of birth & answer to my security question, double and triple checked everything is correct but it constantly tells me something is wrong and I can't change my password. All of the info is 100% correct so I'm at a loss of how I can get back into my account? So currently have no access to my e mail or VM account. We have been trying to reset the password on my son’s @ntlworld.com account very unsuccessfully. We have tried the “verify another way” and the verification email is one that we don’t recognise and therefore have no access to. Having spent over an hour on the phone again today being passed around various departments there still seems to be no one that can correct what could be a fraudulent verification email in an attempt to block my son’s access to his email! We have tried recovery codes and they haven’t worked, it has been escalated (again) to the “IT Department” Has anyone else got any suggestions??158Views0likes5Comments
