Still unable to Link Virgin Media account since new Sign-in process introduced
A long time VM customer everything was working all fine... until Monday 14th July 8am when this was introduced without prior warning! New windows introduced, chopping and changing, willy nilly, throughout that day. Only made worse when Customer services & Complaints team were clueless as to what was going on. Anyway, cut a long story short... right now (Fri 1st August, can't access any VM stuff on laptop), trying to Link Virgin Media account, after entering correctly the Account holder's last name, Account number and Area reference number - the system FINDS my VM account, I then confirm the address related to that (call this X say) BUT the next screen says it's going to send an approval of account transfer verification email to address (X???) - I CANNOT access it because domain does not exist HOWEVER I have been using this okay as a USERNAME to login to my VM account for years prior to the 14th July. Why has the system not sent this approval of account transfer verification email to my registered @ntlworld.com address (where all my emails come in & out okay) behind my USERNAME login (X)??? Absolutely abominable this - gotta be the worse customer/complaints service I've experienced in my entire life! Any ideas or a resolution, please?! (P.S. I too am having the same issues as a lot of others. it has been two and half weeks now and still no satisfactory answer, - i have been phoning up constantly almost every day I have an ntlworld email address, i was asked to set up a 3rd party email address on 14th July, which i did and verified it, and i was able to login via this email and ntlworld address initially for approx 2 hours, then since then i have not been able to. I keep getting asked to login and then it goes around in a continual loop and a white screen, i am not prompted to ask for a password , just stuck in a loop I have verified my account soo many times, yet keep getting asked to confirm via a link sent to my ntlworld account, yet i cannot gain access to this, just keep going round and round in a continous loop I have two x Incident numbers, one a priority, - and also a complaint number I keep getting passed from pillar to post via VM helpdesk, i dont think they have a clue what the issue is, they keep saying that they will phone back, yet no one does - apalling behaviour I use my ntlworld email for everything, tickets, shopping, transport , this is becoming extremely frustrating for me, I have concert tickets i need to access as a matter of urgency, I have tried all the suggestions i have seen online but nothing has worked for me as of yet, please please please can someone help me75Views0likes3CommentsNTL world email with Outlook issue
Hi, I am trying to resolve an issue for my brother/sister-in-law. They have NTL world email address and both have accounts to log into virgin media and retrieve these via web browser absolutely fine (I set-up and tested for them) and they used to be able to access via Outlook. However, this has now stopped working and I have tested their outlook by adding my ntlworld email which worked fine. I have tried to set-up from both my home W11 PC and my MacMini all to no avail! I finally managed to log in to my VM account. On my phone I went through verifying via my Gmail but just ended up with a blank page. This morning I tried on my desktop and amazingly it all worked. Verified using my Gmail and then created a passkey to log into my VM account. However I still can't retrieve my ntlworld emails using the Gmail app. It says user or password incorrect. Is it because I have now set up a passkey instead of a password to access my ntlworld emails via the VM account or should the password still exist and be valid? My ntlworld e-mail is working. For at least a week now my wife's ntlworld.e-mail account hasn't worked. Despite 2 very long phone calls to Virgin help nothing has changed. She can log in to the Virgin Media site no problem but when she choses e-mail the message is : FOBIDDEN. Could somone please sort out Virgin's e-mail problems? She needs this account for Hospital / Surgery mails urgently and the help line so far have not proved successful in getting her e-mail account back up and running. Hey folks. I wanted to start what I thought would be a trivial task of moving to a new laptop and re-setting up my Outlook mail client to my virgin / ntlworld mail account. Despite numerous guides, having to seemingly setup linked O2 accounts, I still can't find or see where this is done? Why is this so difficult? - when I sign into My virgin their own guides say this: When I go to https://www.virginmedia.com/myvmo2/home it just stays on "signing in" from my old and new laptop. I can get to it via my phone browser (god knows why) and I go to Account settings - I see Virgin Media mail settings. But when in that section nothing about app passwords. Ideally I'd just like to see my existing one, but failing that how do I find where to create one? Hi All, Since first thing yesterday I’ve not been able to access my Ntlworld email account, that was working perfectly via mail2.virginmedia web mail until the end of last weekend. I have created a brand new, unannounced change of log in system Virgin O2 ID that has no problems logging in. The barrier appears in that I have an Ntlworld email account but I am not the main Virgin Media account holder. The only interaction I have with My Virgin Media is to use webmail for my Ntlworld address. I cannot go ahead and link the above main Virgin Media account to my new VMO2 ID due to the above set up, as this would remove access from the main account holder due to it being a transfer. I am now completely blocked from my Ntlworld email account, and cannot change the password on this account due to a password reset request giving an endless spinning timer with “Processing Request”. Is the above all part parcel of wider ongoing technical problems with VM accounts and log ins or a specific Ntlworld email issue due to this sudden complete roll out of a new log in system first thing Monday? I tried my usual way to open VM emails and found this new two-way security thing asking for a third party email address to open my emails. After struggling all day with Google I have managed to create a new gmail address. I have linked it with VM and verified the new link several times.
