Forgotten password for ntlworld email accont
Hi, I have an existing ntlworld.com email account which I cannot access as I have forgotten the password. When I set up my account many years ago I created a main email address (which still works) and a second account for my parents to use, and for which I have forgotten the password. When I try to access this second account in'My Email' it tells me that the password for that account is incorrect, so it recognises the account but not the password. If I try to reset the password it tells me to log in to My Virgin Media account. When I do that I can see my main email account but not the second account. If I then try to add the account it again tells me that the password for that account is incorrect. Can you please send my a link or advise me on what I need to do to reset the password for this account and regain access. The account obviously exists. I have an NTLWORLD.COM email address. I have had it for 25+ years. 2 months ago i lost access to it. I have all sorts of accounts tied to this account. I am missing important hospital correspondence and lost access to tickets for events etc. I have made 9 phone calls to virgin (an absolue nightmare each time) and been messed around horribly. I have been told temporary technical fault. IT are looking at it. 2 months and no one can sort it. I raised a complaint. They said they tried to contact me to resolve it (they didnt try to contact me). They say this every time i reply to the complaint but not a single phone call or missed call. We tried to contact you. Heres a solution, reset your password. This is not a solution. I cannot reset my password. Virgin have reset my password but i cannot access any page to log in. "Customer support" got me to create a new virgin account under a gmail address. They then linked the old email address to the new account. When i click on virgin mail i get a "Page cannot be found" error. The address of the page it cannot find has "invalid credentials" in the link. Under my VMO2 settings, if i click "manage my products", i get a "Something went wrong page" Are they just trying to get me to go away and not have to deal with email any more? No one is addressing it. 9 calls and a complaint, several times being told i will be contacted by tect support but nothing is happening. No one is contacting me. People on complaints dont seem to care though they did offer me a £10 refund. Cheers that will make up for 2 months and counting of no email and lost tickets and who knows what important emails ive missed.127Views0likes8CommentsNo emails for 11 weeks
Hi Since Virgin & o2 merged when i had to log in a different way i have had no access to my emails. This now is more than 11 weeks. I have a job logged with Virgin (P013116271) & a complaint (C2907253677). I have made about 10 calls, weekly, to try to get this resolved. I have been told its with the second line, its been passed to our IT team, etc etc. No one seems to care enough to just get my emails back for me. I have tried on different PCs, different browsers and even the Virgin app. NOTHING. This is now beyond a joke. I keep getting told i will get a call back but have I - NO. Could someone from Virgin just contact me and get this fixed. The only thing Virgin have done is carry on taking my monthly payment !!69Views1like4CommentsPasswords for my other NTLWorld email accounts
Back in the old days I could log into my Virgin Account and create and manage the other email accounts I had created for my wife and son. Now that facility has gone. My wife has changed her phone and I can not get the password for her email address to set up on the phone's email client. I am totally confused by the new process as it seems I now have to create a new Virgin ID for each of the other other email accounts. Do I create a Virgin account using the original NTLworld email address my wife has or do I create it using her outlook.com email address and then how do I link it to the NTLworld email so we can retrieve a password for it. I have tried to use the webchat to find out and the agents were the worse customer service agents I have ever dealt with. I work in IT providing support to users and if I ever acted like they have I would have lost my job. Can anyone help me?Solved75Views0likes1CommentI left VM 2 years ago and now my ntlworld email has been hacked. How do I close the account down?
I left VM 2 years ago after having had my broadband supplied by them for 15-20 years (originally NTLWorld). When I left I set up new email accounts as I’d been informed the NTL world email would be deleted after 90 days. unfortunately some of the services I’d used but unsubscribed to have been sending me messages with new access codes (some messages in Spanish), I’ve received some phishing emails with my NTLworld password being quoted and I’ve also been receiving a load of email failed to send messages - so my email has clearly been hacked. How do I go about getting my email deleted so I can put an end to the hackers pretending to be me?62Views0likes4CommentsNtlworld email
Hi, I have just realised I still have an Ntlworld email that seems to still be receiving messages. There’s a lot of junk in there and it’s been years since I used it so for security, I just want it fully closed down. I don’t recall the log in details but can still access from my phone. Does anyone know how to just fully shut it down? I haven’t been a virgin media customer for year so I’m surprised the account still exists! thanks48Views0likes2CommentsNTLWorld email deactivation request
I have recently become the victim of a data breach where my passwords for many of my online accounts were leaked on the dark web. Yesterday I lost access to my NTLWorld email account which I have been using as my main email address for many years. After browsing this forum I have become aware that VM are now deactivating orphaned NTLWorld email accounts. I would like to confirm that my loss of access is due to the account being deactivated and not the account being compromised. If it has not been deactivated I would like to request that it is as I no longer have access. Please can someone advise.41Views0likes1CommentWhat a terrible mess- hacked email
About 3 nights ago I started getting strange emails on my very old ntlworld email service and wondered if there may be an issue. I decided as a precaution I would change the password and this is where my problems started. It soon became very clear that my email account had been hacked (something that was confirmed during one of my phone calls to virgin). I was assured that they would restore everything back to the way it had been, and that they would put a stop to the email account and reset it for me. The next day., I got an email thanking me for making the changes to my virgin account and I had now been upgraded to a much bigger package which obviously cost a lot more money. I was still unable to access my email account. I did not ask for these changes not did I want them! I duly called again for assistance and once again had to go through the whole ordeal of explaining my issues. I was told that people were working on my email problems and they would contact me once it was complete and they were very sorry for their mistake and would put things back. After a lot of them telling me I would lose this feature and that feature and me having to say yes thats fine, I STILL haven't had my package put back as it was! So here we are, my virgin email account still hacked and getting floods of strange emails and my package changed without my consent. Can anyone please help me with my issues or am I doomed to further frustration? We have been trying to reset the password on my son’s @ntlworld.com account very unsuccessfully. We have tried the “verify another way” and the verification email is one that we don’t recognise and therefore have no access to. Having spent over an hour on the phone again today being passed around various departments there still seems to be no one that can correct what could be a fraudulent verification email in an attempt to block my son’s access to his email! We have tried recovery codes and they haven’t worked, it has been escalated (again) to the “IT Department” Has anyone else got any suggestions??39Views0likes1Comment
