Wifi booster/pod
Hi, I've recently changed from Sky to Virgin Media and have the mega fast 1.1gb internet package. However, my devices upstairs in my house only pick up 70% wifi strength and are running at 150mbs so no where near the max speed. I want to order a booster or pod to increase the wifi strength upstairs but don't seem to be able to do this from any of the virgin apps. Can someone tell me how best to order one please.35Views0likes4CommentsMy VM wifi booster blew up
My booster had been working without issue for quite some time before I changed the socket into which the booster is inserted; I'd used this socket numerous times before and never had a problem. When I plugged the booster in, it was completely seated in the socket, but then the inside of the booster sparked and began smoking. Fortunately, no fire started, but it is obviously broken now. Has anyone else had this problem, and can I get a replacement? I'm having trouble getting reliable Wi-Fi in my bedroom right now.671Views0likes7Comments- 69KViews6likes38Comments
Wifi booster..
Having real issues with my boosters. So I live in a small two up two down. If I leaned over the banister I could see our router the house is that small. Router speed is 250mb. We have a booster in the kitchen and upstairs hallway (we did live in a big house) I’m currently in the spare bedroom with a booster literally outside my door and I’m pulling 11mbps with 1 bar on wifi. Router was rebooted yesterday (by accident) and the pods have been rebooted just now. No improvement. They’re the newish model I believe. White weird shaped one. I read on another post that resetting the device using the reset pin hole might help? Any ideas? Again. Virgin are useless and I work for IT. I’m not stupid when it comes to network but they talk to me like I am.Solved1.1KViews0likes4CommentsI need a wifi pod
Same story as a lot of people… I am a volt customer on 500Gb broadband and have dead spots in my home.. in some rooms I can barely even connect to the router let alone maintain a decent speed… my ring video doorbell at the front door often can’t do its job as it loses connection to the hub i think I have a clear case here for needing pods, but as every other person seems to have found, ordering one seems impossible. therefore adding this post here in the dim hope that a mod will pick it up and get in touch about getting a pod to me… here’s hoping744Views0likes7CommentsBooster pod
I have spent weeks trying to get a pod sent out, soooo many phonecalls, complaints and let downs. I finally got ONE sent out today, I've got a black pod, from what I've read it's the same as the white one but it has a power lead instead of being a plug-in pod. Why have I been sent a wired pod?? I would prefer a wireless plug-in pod, and 3 of them as I am entitled to them on the 1Gig package. I have black spots in my home, all recorded on the connect app. No way are we getting over 1000mbps in our home, and that's what I'm paying for. Since being with Virgin I don't think I've ever been so stressed!4.1KViews0likes21Comments
