My VM wifi booster blew up

My booster had been working without issue for quite some time before I changed the socket into which the booster is inserted; I'd used this socket numerous times before and never had a problem. When I plugged the booster in, it was completely seated in the socket, but then the inside of the booster sparked and began smoking. Fortunately, no fire started, but it is obviously broken now. Has anyone else had this problem, and can I get a replacement? I'm having trouble getting reliable Wi-Fi in my bedroom right now.

This is your opportunity to avoid the limitations of VM Wi-Fi Pods and to install a decent retail Wi-Fi Mesh !

  • Get the 13A wall socket checked by an electrician just in case the Pod has overheated it & caused damage.

Continuing to permit use of an overheating Wi-Fi device in a child's room is very difficult to understand.
Especially as we now see the outcome was the predictable thermal failure.
