Managing multiple @blueyonder.co.uk accounts
I have an active Virgin Media account (I'm a broadband customer), and for years have had four @blueyonder.co.uk email addresses used by myself and three other family members associated with that account. All four accounts are regularly used. After the transition to VMO2, I've linked my new VMO2 ID to my Virgin Media account. I'm able to manage my (the primary) @blueyonder.co.uk email account app password through https://www.virginmediao2.co.uk/identity/id-settings/my-accounts using ID Settings->Virgin Media Account->Manage email app password. However, I can't see any way to manage the @blueyonder.co.uk email accounts used by my other family members (e.g. to change the app password). Some of those family members have their own VMO2 IDs (because they're O2 mobile customers), but unless I'm wrong it doesn't seem possible to link those IDs to the single common household Virgin Media account which I manage, and hence there seems no way for those members to manage their own @blueyonder.co.uk app password. Help! Surely there must be a way to do this.43Views0likes3CommentsHelp! How to access account settings for secondary email address
We have two 'ntlworld.com' email addresses that have always in the past been linked to our Virgin broadband/TV/phone account (that is still active) - one I use, one my wife uses. When I log in with the new Virgin/O2 ID, my ntlworld email is linked to the account and I can access my inbox in a browser (the webmail), and I can see ways to manage that email address (e.g. generate app passwords). However, my wife's ntlworld email is now not linked to my VMO2 ID and I can't see a way to add it. My wife has registered for a Virgin/O2 ID using the 3rd party email address that she used to login with but there seems to be no way to link that to her ntlworld account through the options in the Virgin/O2 ID settings. The only option I can see is to transfer the VMO2 ID link from our broadband account to her VMO2 ID which would then mean I have the problem she currently has but on my ntlworld.com email address! Is there a way that Virgin staff can link two ntlworld.com accounts to one Virgin broadband/TV/phone account? I have seen a few posts on here that seem to suggest people are still able to get e.g. app passwords for secondary accounts, but no clues as to how to access those settings. (BTW: access to the secondary email inbox via Apple Mail and iPhone mail app is currently working, but my big concern is what if something goes wrong - we currently have no way of generating a new app password for that secondary email!) Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I tried the VM chat but the support staff seemed to not be able to understand what I was trying to ask.Solved63Views0likes9CommentsHow to access established (older) email accounts
Like many I needed to access my Virgin Media account to try and fix email issues. After being a customer for over 30 years I had multiple email accounts and now I am struggling to access and fix even 1 off them. When did the system change to the new VMO2 account and password login? Did I miss any information or has this just been very poorly communicated, or even communicated. How does this new system work, what needs to be done to access my Virgin Media account and old ntl world.com emails? I used to have a email linked to my account and from there I could see 5 ntlworld.com email addresses. Now I can’t see or manage anything on those email accounts. How do I add those addresses and change passwords? I try to set up a new VMO2 account but it goes around in circles and doesn’t complete, why? Do I need another non ntlworld email account to set up and access my Virgin Media account and emails? This seems crazy. When I even try to login or create accounts using some of my email addresses they are not recognised as if they don’t exist, yet my older iPad can still access and download messages? Some accounts just constantly give error messages regarding VPN, or access via another machine, error IDF-12B. How do I get around this when I’m trying to set up a new iPad for daily access? I don’t have any O2 accounts, only a Virgin Media account and products. Where are the instructions, how do I get help to fix my accounts and access? Does anybody have definite working instructions.20Views0likes0CommentsMail App reads "Forbidden" and won't allow access
To preface, I have recently had difficulties with hackers getting into my ntlworld email account. Following security advice, I have: Signed out of all devices. Changed my password (from a confirmed non-compromised device, just in case), then removed the password in favour of the more secure passkey. Changed my login email to a third party email address. I've also been monitoring the Activity Log for sign ins and not seen any new ones I don't recognise. While I still have access to my Virgin Media O2 account login, when I go to my Mail app page, I am now receiving a "Forbidden" page. I am assuming it's been locked for security reasons. I have seen in other threads that the third party email often fixes this, but I can't see any other way of unlocking this. Can anyone assist?39Views0likes3CommentsChange log in email address - how do I do i?

Hi all I made the mistake of linking my Virign and O2 accounts and now that is coming home to roost. My Virgin account uses an at virginmedia.com email address and although I have managed to add a new email account as the ID, I can't verify the email, the system keeps saying, sorry, can't verify that email address right now. I don't know what the real problem is but I suspect it isn't the validation system being down as I can validate backup emails. Anyway, does anyone know who I can contact to resolve this as my old virgin email is making it impossible to do anything on O2, when validating they are using the primary email to send contracts to and I don't have access to that. A pictute is better than any text so here we go, anyone know who I can contact to get this fixed, I just want to verify the email, I tried the chat but that was less than useless and they just gave me a dodgy number to call32Views0likes1CommentEmail access gone
I have an NTLWORLD.COM email address. I have had it for 25+ years. 2 months ago i lost access to it. I have all sorts of accounts tied to this account. I am missing important hospital correspondence and lost access to tickets for events etc. I have made 9 phone calls to virgin (an absolue nightmare each time) and been messed around horribly. I have been told temporary technical fault. IT are looking at it. 2 months and no one can sort it. I raised a complaint. They said they tried to contact me to resolve it (they didnt try to contact me). They say this every time i reply to the complaint but not a single phone call or missed call. We tried to contact you. Heres a solution, reset your password. This is not a solution. I cannot reset my password. Virgin have reset my password but i cannot access any page to log in. "Customer support" got me to create a new virgin account under a gmail address. They then linked the old email address to the new account. When i click on virgin mail i get a "Page cannot be found" error. The address of the page it cannot find has "invalid credentials" in the link. Under my VMO2 settings, if i click "manage my products", i get a "Something went wrong page" Are they just trying to get me to go away and not have to deal with email any more? No one is addressing it. 9 calls and a complaint, several times being told i will be contacted by tect support but nothing is happening. No one is contacting me. People on complaints dont seem to care though they did offer me a £10 refund. Cheers that will make up for 2 months and counting of no email and lost tickets and who knows what important emails ive missed.156Views0likes8CommentsI left VM 2 years ago and now my ntlworld email has been hacked. How do I close the account down?
I left VM 2 years ago after having had my broadband supplied by them for 15-20 years (originally NTLWorld). When I left I set up new email accounts as I’d been informed the NTL world email would be deleted after 90 days. unfortunately some of the services I’d used but unsubscribed to have been sending me messages with new access codes (some messages in Spanish), I’ve received some phishing emails with my NTLworld password being quoted and I’ve also been receiving a load of email failed to send messages - so my email has clearly been hacked. How do I go about getting my email deleted so I can put an end to the hackers pretending to be me?64Views0likes4CommentsUnable to log in to my VM account
Hi, I am not receiving the verification email to log in to my account. This also happens when I am being asked to link my virginO2 to my Virginmedia account and when I try to log into Sky Sports. My original problem was that my login email address was an old one that I no longer had access to. I have had several live chats and a long phone call, where my problem was escalated to IT. I have not heard anything now for 2 weeks. i have now managed to get access to that old email address, it sends and receives perfectly well, but nothing from Virgin to verify and access my account. Can anybody help with this? Thanks, Richard47Views1like2CommentsNtlworld email
Hi, I have just realised I still have an Ntlworld email that seems to still be receiving messages. There’s a lot of junk in there and it’s been years since I used it so for security, I just want it fully closed down. I don’t recall the log in details but can still access from my phone. Does anyone know how to just fully shut it down? I haven’t been a virgin media customer for year so I’m surprised the account still exists! thanks49Views0likes2Comments
