Downloading on Xbox App for PC, and console's only working when connected to a VPN.
So I've been having this problem for about a month now. For the first 3 weeks of having Virgin fibre (via the Hub5x), I had no issues with downloading anything, and the speeds were great. However after one night, when the internet went down, I went to reset the hub to check to see if that fixed any issue. It reconnected, but since then I have had the issue described in the title. Typically what happens is a download will start, it will download for a few seconds and then I'll get an error notification, or a message that the download was stopped (or in the PlayStation's case, stuck on 'calculating'). Strangely, even when not connected to VPN, I can still download via Steam, and Epic Games Launcher on PC. I haven't tried absolutely every app, so I can't say for sure how many do or don't work. When I do connect to a VPN (currently using ProtonVPN), I can all of a sudden start downloading again without issue. I also tend to find that certain games drop connection when not using a VPN, but I'm unsure if that's related. I have tried so many different fixes, ranging from the basics to some more complex stuff, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. If anyone has any idea what might be causing certain downloads to be blocked/cancelled and throwing up error codes, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.Xbox series S Network keeps disconnecting
Anyone else having the same issue with the Xbox network? I have the Virgin 5x Router. Recently got an Xbox series S and almost every time I try to play online it disconnects me. I have tried port forwarding, still no luck. I’m no tech genius but reading through Google, it seems a pretty common problem. Wondered if anyone managed to find a solution because the help support from virgin is either nonexistent or basically, they can’t be bothered to help and palm me off saying it’s the Xbox’s issue. Which I know it isn’t because when I hotspot my phone it works perfectly fine. Apologies if this thread has been made hundreds of times before. I got sick of reading threads from years ago and not getting anywhere with them.Xbox NAT & Teredo issues
Seems like a problem others have faced but I'm a 3.0 hub user who is experiencing "NAT unavailable" and "Can't get a Teredo IP address" issues on my Xbox series X which means party chat isn't working. Also have an Xbox series S in the same household which doesn't have the issue - I'm assuming multiple consoles on the same network is causing the problem?! I've followed Microsoft support in terms of port forwarding/static IP etc but without a resolution. Any advice on fixing this would be much appreciated. I've seen other similar issues which seems to be localised, my postcode is RH11 if this helps. TIAWhen I Play on XBox Connected via Lan, My Ring WiFi Camera Always Disconnects!
As above. I'm on the 1GB service, but every time I play online, my Ring camera loses internet connection and only reconnects when I log off Xbox. I have the Hub 4 and even though I upgraded to 1GB, I was told there is a shortage of the newer routers that new customers are given. So I didn't get one at the time of ordering. The ring camera is connected via wifi. The xbox and tv via Lan cable. Any help or advice would be great, because webchat is disgustingly slow.Suffering Common Xbox Nat/Teredo Issues
Just got VM in our new house in South London area 21 2 xboxs in the house are not able to connect to the VM network via wifi or wired getting NAT/Teredo error message. Called VM Tech and did pin hole factory reset 5 times, ethernet cable, 24 hr monitoring and 3rd party router still not fixed, VM tech support very unhelpful saying "no issue reported" however as links below show this is a wider localised issue with on area being exactly in the same location as me. Please help get this sorted! Area 21, south London. Sudden issues since Xmas Eve whereby the Xbox will not connect to internet. I’ve reset Xbox and router, wired the connection, it’s not working. Will connect to my iPhone hotspot but when trying to connect to virgin I’m getting Teredo issue, cannot connect with static IP, NAT type unavailable, service info unavailable. I’ve followed all Xbox troubleshooting. See there was an issue in Staffordshire earlier this year with lots of people reporting the same, seems it was an ISP issue. Anyone advise?
