very unstable upload on series x

ive recently been sent a new router, I have it connected to my xbox series x with an enthernet cable, and its been getting very low upload speeds, my download is 274, and my upload has always been about 26, but recently its been as low as 2!

ive been and bought a cat 6 ethernet cable to see if this helps, but its still up and down all the time,

when I run a download test through my phone is always stable,

ive tried using Googles dns settings and enabling qos settings and its still up and down??

So performance at the Hub and on your mobile are fine. It is not a VM issue.

We have seen many games consoles produce weird or badly flawed speed stats,
the fault is often the remote end accepting traffic at a slow rate.

By chance can the x series run a web browser that could used to try an alternative speed test ?

yes its very strange, if I open the inbuilt web browser on xbox, and open the virgin media speedyest, it comes back fine, it must be an issue with the servers that xbox use to test bandwidth?

I've had similar with my series X and series S, even on ethernet. Try playing around with port and mac address on the xbox settings, sometimes it helps and other times no difference. Also check that port forwarding is setup correctly on your router. Usually UPnP does what you need but worth checking if any port's that xbox require, are open too

        Seriously don't !

The only fault that exists is the in built speed test,
all other aspects are working fine so change nothing & move on.

ive checked on the roters settings, unpnp is on, ive tried changing dns settings to googles, cleared mac address, also changed some qos settings on xbox, still the same, but only though the xbox built in speed test

Hi Thomas83 👋 Welcome back to the community forum! Thanks for posting.

Sorry to hear you have some concerns about your Hub's connection based on the readings from your X-box.

Having run some quick testing there do appear to be some issues with the connection reaching your hub. It looks like you've also been in touch with us via another platform and an engineers appointment has been booked in - please let us know how this goes, so we can offer further help if needed! Hopefully it gets things sorted. 🤞

Thanks for your patience in the meantime! 🌞
