Virgin media boradband available next door but not connected to new property
Hi, I am planning to move to new house by mid march 2025. It's a new build house but there are no vergin media broadband cable connected to the property. I have enquired to near by houses even the next door has virgin media broadband which means virgin is servicing that area and the new property just need to be connected. With this regard I spoke to the developer/builder as well and they informed me that they have ducts and other things ready for virgin to provide connection inside the new house, so accordingly I called your move team but looks like they are telling that the area is not serviceable which is far from the reality. Being a customer of virgin media for last couple of years I could like to continue to have same service in the new property as well. Hence seeking out help here if anyone from virgin could help me here would be great158Views0likes10CommentsWaiting for Installation from 30th of December

Trying to order a 2nd WiFi pod. I am a volt customer so can get up to 3. Our first one was in our main bedroom but we recently switched to a streaming box, we have had to move the pod into the 2nd bedroom to stop the stream box buffering. Now we have no WiFi signal in the main bedroom. I have used the connect app to scan and it says I have poor signal but will not give me an option to order another one. I am reluctant to call up as I recently spent over 4 hours on the phone over 2 days recently trying to upgrade my package ad chat isn’t very helpful can’t seem to get past the bot. Please can someone from virgin help.33Views0likes2CommentsFraudulent Account
Hi I have a fraudulent account on my name on my credit file with Virgin Telecom opened on 30th October 2024 which is reflecting on my credit file with 2 missed payments. This account is set up without my information or my concent. The account is opened on 30th October 2024 on My name on my previous address which I have not lived at that address since 2018. I have been informed by the people living at that address that there is Parcel which i believe is a Broadband Router with my Name delivered to the property mentioned above which was my previous address 6 years ago. I have rang virgin Telecom care line numerous times in last 4 weeks and made you aware that this is fraudulent account set up on my name and it needs to be closed down. Because it's affecting my Credit File. The account is showing on my credit report with missed payment and defaults. PLEASE CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT ASAP AND PLEASE NOTIFY THE CREDIT REFERENCE AGENCIES TO REMOVE THE INFORMATION FROM MY CREDIT FILE. THIS IS FRAUDULENT ACCOUNT AND I HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS. I have been given email by Virgin Care And Fraud Team. They have asked me to email my ID with current address. So they can close this account. They have told me it's already been flagged as fraudulent account but I need to email and send this information. I have sent the email as well but no reply. Call centre have no clue they just telling me same thing we will call you back I have been waiting 6 weeks. This is pure fraud and virgin is not taking any actionRegarding new broadband connection in a newly moved house
Connection socket Hub 4 router I've just moved into a new house and am looking for a new broadband connection. However, I found a Virgin wall connection socket, and the previous tenant left a Hub 4. How can I check if the fiber cable is still connected and ready to go if I order a new connection?Keep Hub5 from old account and remove new Hub3 ?
Hi ive started a new post on this subject as I haven’t had a response from a Virgin Employee on my other post which I’m hoping to do please. Up until last week, March 31st, we had M250 18 month contract package in my partners name, during the initial setup we had WiFi issues back on this connection and a technician swapped us from the Hub3 to the Hub5 which has been perfect ever since. 2 days ago we started our new contract under my name, (we were advised to do it this way by Virgin Media salesman to get the best price) Same M250 package, I did ask when siginging for the new package about keeping the Hub5 due to the previous issues and was told Virgin only send out Hub4’s and Hub5’s, clearly this was incorrect as we’ve been sent a Hub3, with a new router - the Hub3 , we instantly have WiFi issues (Ethernet is fine) basically it can’t reach the rooms downstairs - we can sit on one side of the sofa and get WiFi (not great speeds though) and move to the other end of the sofa and get nothing, unfortunately this also means the Amazon firestick can’t get a speed over 3Mbps (we got over 100Mbps with the Hub5) so we get constant buffering, and no home screen message with no WiFi at all at times. We consistently got speeds of over 200Mbps on the old Hub5 all over the home, we now have spots where get no connection and where we do get WiFi the speeds are between 3Mbps and 15Mbps. The hub5 from the old contract is sat upstairs, unplugged, can I please ask a Technician re-configure the Hub5 to work with the new connection and fix my issue? As it is tried and tested and will sort this issue, also will save me lots of time with phone calls to Virgin explaining this. Thank youSolved5.6KViews0likes46CommentsDo Virgin offer a service to move your router port to another location in the home?
Hello all. I’ve recently invested in a TP-Link AXE5400 tri-band router to boost my WI-Fi around our 3 bed house, and in particular my gaming set up. My Virgin hub 4 is now in modem mode. Unfortunately this hasn’t worked out as I’d hoped. So I’m now looking at the possibility of potentially moving the Ethernet port to the spare room upstairs on the opposite side of the house. Obviously this is dependent on how much this kind of work would cost. I’ve seen in the past Virgin would do this for you for a small fee if you are experiencing issues, so still wondering if this is the case? Any advice would be extremely helpful.3.9KViews0likes13Comments
