Re: Virgin Media Account - Can't sign In? Robert, when going to My Media page on virgin I get the following message... "We can’t find your Virgin Media account. As you’ve made too many attempts, please try again tomorrow (from midnight tonight). Remember to check your details, as you’ll need to enter them exactly as they appear on your bill. If you need help, contact us to chat to our team." This is the first time today I have attempted to log-in so how I've managed too may attempts I'm unsure about. The whole process has gotten too lengthy and complicate when it doesn't need to be; keep it simple! I've now given up attempting to log in as I've got better things to do with my life!!! Re: Virgin Media Account - Can't sign In? I'm having the same problem as everyone else in that Virgin Media wanting me to link an O2 account I never knew I had has now resulted in me being unable to log in at all. Virgin Media Account - Can't sign In? Went to my virgin Media account page today and it was asking me to link my account with my Virgin O2 account (didn't know I had this account) so did so; I've been going around in circles ever since and now can't sign in at all. Now I can't access the Virgin Media website at all as it's telling me I've tried to log in too many times and the webpage isn't available to me anymore! I must say that anything to do with signing in to virgin Media is the most confusing set-up I've ever come across; other website, usually, give you the option to re-set everything but not with virgin. I can't even email virgin Media as they don't want us doing that even though it might save them, and me time. I used to teach IT at college and I'm having serious problems; how does any 'normal' person deal with the problems that Virgin Media throw up? So frustrated right now!!!! Re: Recording Options not Available? Thank you roy247 "the 360 will give you a warning that you have already set a recording on a different channel"... not on my system? Handset - Not Thought Out Very Well! When we switched over to Virgin 360 we received a new handset. Compared to the previous handed we used this one isn't ergonomically designed very well; it's as if the person designing it never tried to use it. I find that the (for instance) Mute button being on the bottom of the handset isn't very practical and causes complication in holding the handset to use the mute feature; the old handset was ergonomically designed so as to have the mute button where you could reach it comfortably. Do you find the Virgin 360 handset awkward to use; I do. Recording Options not Available? Recently transferred over to Virgin 360 and am find some of the options we used to have under the previous version missing. For instance, I set a series to record but end up with episodes recording more than once. Yesterday found that a program I had set to record was available on both BBC and BBC Scotland soil recorded that episode twice! With our previous Virgin software there was an option to set up which TV station you wanted to record from so this didn't happen but Virgin 360 (unless I'm going blind or daft or both) doesn't have this option.... or is that menu buried away somewhere not obvious? Any advice/ help would be very welcome. Richard Re: Audio Issue? One Power is enabled & our LG surround sound system shows Simplink, so no change there from it working with the previous Tivo handset & software. It's just really frustrating that we have changed nothing (cables or connections) but the new 360 doesn't recognise what the Tivo did & I can't solve it. I just think that the new 360 system doesn't recognise our LG surround sound system. I'd quite happily go back to the Tivo setup as it worked. "If it ain't broke then don't fix it" as the saying goes. Audio Issue? Just started using the Virgin 360 this week and am having serious issues around the audio connections. We have an LG 5.1 surround sound system that used to work perfectly prior to have the 360 handset in that when we started the TV and the Virgin box the surround sound box detected that we had turned everything on, started up & went straight to ARC. Now with the 360 system the TV & the Virgin box start up and the surround sound system start and goes to Optical (with no audio output), bear in mind I have made no alterations other than installing the new 360 system. I shouldn't have to go through all this when my system worked perfectly prior to installing 360!!! When I look at my audio output on the TV it shows ARC but the front of the surround sound box shows Optical; this didn't occur prior to having 360. I then have to go to the sound output setting on my TV to swap back to Internal Speakers then back to ARC before I get my surround sound back again; I have to do this every time I start the Virgin 360 system up and am not impressed as with our previous handset all worked as it should. I went into Audio Settings in the 360 and changed to PCM 5.1 (HDMI only) but that hasn't helped. Do you know how to solve my problem and if it can't be solved can I go back to the previous Virgin 'setup' and use our old handset as I'm not impressed with the 360 system. By the way... does Virgin monitor these discussions as I hope they do? Regards, Richard Plex not available? We've just updated our Virgin Media to Virgin TV 360 today and found that the Plex app isn't available. If anyone from Virgin monitors these discussions I'd like to point out that this is, almost, a 'deal breaker' for me as I stream movies from my computer in another room directly to my TV and now I can't. I will now be looking for another TV subscription service that will allow me to use Plex. NOT IMPRESSED VIRGIN!!! Richard
