I should add that this problem occurred with relaying an audio stream of 128kbps from one PC to the other which relayed it on. The stream of the receiving PC was buffering and jumping uncontrollably. Usually it's fine Slow Transfer Speed Between PCs on Home Network I've hot a hub3 and sometimes transferring data between 2 ethernet connected PCs on the home network is very slow Any solutions for avoiding these slow transfers? One of two ethernet PCs not showing as a connected device Seems to be working OK but seems strange that it doesn't appear as a connected device. I have the hub 3.0 Has Virgin Ever Reduced Your Broadband Speed? We have noticed recently that Virgin have halved our upload speed and the wifi signal ia no longer good enough. I renewed my contract recently online and was given to understand that everything would remain unchanged.but it hasn't. For years I've been uploading data weekly using filezilla at just over 3mps. Now that is halved. Possibly coincidentally the wifi signal will now not reach a laptop which has been happily used in that position for years. Of course these days with little or nothing in writing it's carte blanche for unscrupulous companies to ride roughshod over consumers. I hope that isn't the case here EFL now available on sky sports+ maxd out? I tried tuning in to watch the live Leeds portsmouth game yesterday but it just hung, with the little icon going round and round. As I could get the other matches no problem I'm guessing sky didn't have enough slots for everyone who wanted to watch. Does virgin have any influence over sky for this? Or do we have to put up with it? Re: Sky Sports + We had the same trouble when we had a tivo box then virgin upgraded it to a 360 just by sending a new handset and doing a software upgrade. All great now. If they haven't offered you an upgrade suggest you give them a call Re: Another Upgrade Failure Thanks yes the handset is paired but the screen is stuck. Engineer coming tomorrow Another Upgrade Failure Ran through the setup instructions which accompanied my new remote. At the end of the procedure a message saying "we cannot upgrade now please try later" appeared. I clicked on "OK" and it immediately told me to switch off for 30 seconds at the mains and reconnect. When I did it started some sort of update which included pairing the new handset, then it stopped at the screen below where it stopped for over 30 minutes. If I reboot, I get the welcome screen followed by the red Virgin logo in the middle of the screen then straight to the same screen below where it stopped the first time So far from being upgraded, no TV whatsoever at present. Help appreciated!
