Really bad…
My signal is fine, great even downstairs. But, as soon as I get upstairs my phone and laptop disconnect or the signal is very slow. When im upstairs now ive resulted in just turning off the WiFi on my phone. But this is making working and studying quite hard now in a household with two wfh adults. Any tips?30Views0likes2CommentsPoor Wifi Upstairs - Options?
Recently switched to Virgin Media on their M350 Fibre Broadband package. While the speeds are incredible compared to my previous BB with Sky, the wifi coverage throughout the house is really bad. As soon as I leave the room the router is in, the signal gets really poor and I end up on mobile data. I installed a TP-Link Powerline adapter in the back bedroom, but this has caused it's own issues as when you are in-between both signals, the connection drops, despite showing that it is still connected to the wifi. I don't want to pay £8 a month (£96 a year!) for a wifi booster as I'm not confident it will help. Would anyone recommend doing away with the Virgin Media provided router and purchasing a new one instead? If anyone has any recommendations that they know will work that would be great. Other than that, perhaps a mesh setup that someone can recommend perhaps? I always chase the best prices and so the chances are that when my contract ends I will switch back to Sky, or similar, so ideally I would like a future proof solution that can come with my to my new provider if I get one.79Views0likes6CommentsDrop in speed from Hub 3 as router to TP Link
Hi all, I have VM 250Mbps package with Hub 3. When using the hub as router I am getting 250Mbps+ speeds, no issues. When using my TP Link C7 AC1750 router and Hub 3 in Modem <ode, the WiFi speed drops to 100Mbps. I am using good quality (based on reviews?) ethernet cable to link the two (Cat7). TP Link C7, I believe, has sufficiently fast internet port to take the 250Mmps from Hub 3, so this shouldn't be an issue either. I also have 3x mesh devices (TP Link RE450), but I don't thinks that's relevant here. What do I need to do to get my TP Link router do 250Mbps, instead of the 100Mbps..?387Views0likes22CommentsRecommended WiFi 6 Mesh system for Hub 3
Hi all, I have a self-made mesh system that works but is nont delivering the VM speeds. So I am giving up on it. So I am not looking for a new complete WiFi 6 Mesh system that works with Hub 3 out of the box and delivers the VM speeds (or close to them, not 1/3). Something fool-proof, easy to set up, etc. I was looking at Amazon eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi router but would be good to hear from owners / users. Any other setups that people have experience with and that work flawlessly? TIA!62Views0likes6CommentsUnable to open job website
I can't get into a website for job searching because every time I try to, it takes me to a different site. When I turn off Virgin Broadband and try to open the same website again, I stay on that website instead of being sent to a different one. What might be going wrong? I turned off child protection and virus security, among other things. Should I switch my internet service? Thank you!!!Solved207Views0likes5Comments
