Volt broadband speed

I have just upgraded to the volt package and my contract says the broadband speed is up to 600mb but I though it was supposed to be up to 1100mb

i upgraded my services to volt on friday but im still on the old package,does any one know how long the upgrade will take ,i thought it would be instantly as i have a hub 5 and have no need for any new equipment or cabling.
