yesterday Virgin engineer came per appointment. He checked the landline which is dead, then connected the phone to the newly installed router. He said the phone would be up and running in 15-30 minutes then left.
The phone line, now over broadband, is still not working. If I call it from mobile the phone does not ring. There is no dial tone either. The message 'please check phone connection' is displayed.
Perhaps switch to digital has not been made?
