Email still down & can’t access via client or web also can’t access my virgin media come on VM sort it out quickly I’m paying you £86+ per month

No emails for 14 hours now and counting.....VM really  excelled this time....NOT!

I doubt it, the email was touted as a 'free' add-on, and unlikely to be included in any loss of service compensation.

Of course not! They don't see that as being something we pay for. lol

I am wondering if they themselves have been hacked?

They say our data etc is safe, how do they know that if they can't fix the problems?

So in Merseyside we had no emails all day yesterday, last night they came back on, but this morning on my wife's mailbox she has no incoming emails and she has tried to send me one, it says sent, but never arrived.

We have this problem every few years when the upgrade servers, the old blueyonder accounts need to be transferred manually. This needs to he done again by the look of it, but try telling that to the call centre and they don't understand a work. Can anyone on here working for VM help please as my wife is a deputy ward manager and its urgent she gets the emails working again.

Dialled in

I got some emails yesterday evening. This morning I'm back to no email coming through.

The service status page doesn't give an estimate for resolving the problem any more. What is going on?

To be honest, I have heard a couple of rumours to the same thing. One from our IT guru at work. He said it seemed like they were desperately trying to recover from a breach in the servers. Only a rumour mind you, but from a senior IT bod...

Up to speed

Just tried a few test emails and if I send one from one of my virgin email addresses (either blueyonder or virginmedia.com) it  shows as sent but does not arrive at the recipient address. If, however, I do the same but send it to a non virgin email address (eg Gmail) it shows as sent and also arrives at the destination address!
