We are aware that some customers are experiencing issues with their email service and are very sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. Our teams are working flat out to fully restore all emails as soon as possible.

Yes, got exactly the same on my ntlword account (which is my main one).  No email all day on this account and now saying estimated fix 8.30am tomorrow.

I have finally started to get emails again but not for earlier today.  What is happening about emails sent before this evening?  I know I have some that have not arrived.
Also why is there no listing on the various web pages for email?  When you ring the help line they send you a link to a web page but there’s nothing on it about sorting email issues.  Virgin don’t want to take any responsibility for email. 
I’m seriously thinking of changing.  I pay a huge amount to Virgin every month and have been a customer for over 10 years but when things go wrong you can spend hours trying to sort it out.  I’m fed up with it. 

I’ve had that message. I’m not going to change anything just yet. I’m working on the assumption that when Virgin eventually fix it, everything will just start working again.

It is now a quarter to ten in the evening and a few Emails have at last dropped into my Inbox, but nothing since late this morning.

Has VM lost my other Emails today?

How can I tell?

Virginmedia have lost interest in providing email. They stopped issuing new email addresses a year ago. They appear to have done nothing about the widespread hacking of ntl email addresses that has been going on for months. This may be a good time to move to a more reliable provider.

My emails are finally starting to arrive.  Just tested  send and receive. All seems finally OK. Remains to be seen if all my emails for today actually arrive.

hi all my error message says your virgin media mail account is currently unavailable then it says its either because your mail account is locked or because you dont have an active account with us anymore but i was in my account yesterday and it is active has anyone had this?

i have been on hold for an hour trying to speak to someone this is the second call after the call was disconnected the first time after half an hour and no one to answer any questions as to why i cannot access important emails
